Atlas Copco awarded The Victor L. Phillips Company (VLP) three awards during their annual Dealer Advisory Committee Meeting held in Dallas on October 13-15, 2015.

  • 2014 Dealer of the Year
  • Top Construction Award
  • Top Commitment to Service

VLP brought home the 2014 Dealer of the Year award, Atlas Copco’s highest dealer award. This award is presented to the top U.S. dealer in sales for mining and rock excavation equipment across North America. There are more than a dozen Atlas Copco mining and rock excavation dealers that serve the regions not covered by Atlas Copco stores.

Also, the Top Construction award was presented to VLP. Again, VLP had the highest sales volume in the surface crawler product line in the U.S.

The Top Commitment to Service award went to VLP based on sales numbers and exceptional contributions to Atlas Copco. Not only is VLP one of Atlas Copco’s top sales dealers, but they also exhibited growth from year to year, participated in product training, contributed to product improvement, and provided a high level of service to mutual customers of both companies.

“Involved dealers like The Victor L. Phillips Company help make us a better vendor. VLP’s field tech personnel were instrumental in helping us make improvements in model drills rolled out in early 2013 and 2014. VLP winning three awards was well deserved and distinguished. I don’t recall a dealer previously accomplishing that in one given year,” explains Jerry Enyeart, District Manager for Atlas Copco.

The Dealer Advisory Committee Meeting is Atlas Copco’s biggest event of year for their distribution channel. Approximately 80 representatives from dealers across the country attended the three-day event to learn, network and share ideas.

Atlas Copco bought Ingersoll-Rand in the early 2000s, and VLP has been selling Ingersoll-Rand products since 1917. In two years, Ingersoll-Rand will mark 100 years of business with VLP.

About The Victor L. Phillips Company

Today’s construction industry is technology driven, with new products and equipment being developed for more efficiency, increased capability, greater specialization and less environmental impact. But in the end, it still requires those who work in the industry to get their hands dirty to provide superior customer service, like VLP.
